Responsibilities
The Finance Department helps manage the city's money and makes sure everything is handled properly. The department oversees accounting, budgeting, purchasing, and financing.
One of the main jobs of the Finance Department is keeping track of the city’s funds. This includes making sure money is spent wisely and safely. The department keeps detailed records and creates reports that follow accounting rules to stay accurate and transparent.
The Finance Department also supports other city departments. This includes buying goods and services, tracking the city’s financial health, managing cash and debt, handling payroll, managing accounts payable and receivable, keeping track of city property, creating budgets, managing inventory, and overseeing audits. These tasks help the city run smoothly and efficiently.
By focusing on accuracy and following rules, the Finance Department helps the city stay financially strong and responsible. The department’s work makes sure the city operates effectively.

Budget
The City of Lebanon's fiscal year runs from July 1 to June 30.
Utilities
The City of Lebanon provides electric, water, and sewer services to people living in the city. The Finance Department handles utility billing and cash collections for Lebanon Utilities.
