The City of Lebanon follows Missouri state rules for shutting off utilities. Here are the main things you need to know.
Hot Weather Rule (June 1 - September 30)
- We will not shut off electric service if the forecast says the temperature will be over 95°F or the heat index will be over 105°F.
- We will not disconnect power when workers are not available the next day to turn it back on if needed.
Cold Weather Rule (November 1 - March 31)
- Electric service will not be shut off when the temperature is expected to go below 32°F.
- Customers must be notified before any shutoff, including a mailed notice and an in-person attempt.
Please note that service will be disconnected on the next business day when weather conditions no longer meet these criteria.
