Park History

Originally named Maplecrest Park, the area was renamed Boswell Park in the late 1970s to honor the Boswell family, who donated $100,000 to support construction of the city’s outdoor pool. The park honors the memory of James E. Boswell Jr. (1937–1955) and continues to celebrate Lebanon’s connection to Route 66 with historic features and themed attractions.
