Why We Exist
The City of Lebanon’s Animal Control team helps keep people and animals safe. We work to reunite lost pets with their owners, find homes for adoptable animals, and make sure pets are treated well. Our officers also enforce city rules about animals.
What We Do
Our Animal Control Officers:
- Pick up stray, lost, or dangerous animals.
- Investigate reports of animal cruelty.
- Respond to animal bite cases and help with quarantines.
Lost a Pet?
If your pet is missing, call the Lebanon Police Department at (417) 532-3131 to check if it has been picked up. Owners must visit in person to confirm their pet and arrange to take it home.
Adoption
The City of Lebanon does not adopt out animals directly, but we partner with local adoption groups to help pets find loving homes. Contact Sunny Shaufer for more details.
