Identify Your Water Pipes Online

Help Make Lebanon's Water Even Safer

The City of Lebanon is committed to ensuring safe, clean drinking water for everyone. To achieve this, we need your help identifying the material of the water pipes that connect your home or building to the city water system. Older pipes may contain lead or galvanized steel, which can affect water quality. By taking a few simple steps, you can help improve infrastructure, reduce health risks, and support funding opportunities for pipe replacement.

How You Can Help

Your participation is crucial to keeping our water safe. Complete a quick self-inspection and fill out the online form. Here’s how:

  1. Inspect Your Pipes

Locate where the water line enters your home or building. You can use a simple scratch test or a magnet test to help determine the material.

Why Your Participation Matters

This effort helps us meet the EPA guidelines for identifying water lines that may contain lead. Understanding which materials are present in our system will allow us to apply for grants and low-interest loans for pipe replacement through the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law. By identifying and replacing old pipes, we can significantly reduce the risk of lead exposure—especially for children and pregnant women.
