[ARCHIVED] Lebanon Police Department Invites Community to Hotdogs, Hoops & Cops at Gasconade Park

The Lebanon Police Department is inviting residents to join them for an evening of food, fun, and community connection at Hotdogs, Hoops & Cops on Wednesday, September 10, from 5–7 p.m. at Gasconade Park.

The family-friendly event is part of the City’s “A New Day for Gasconade” initiative, which focuses on revitalizing the park and building stronger neighborhood connections. Officers will be on hand to grill hotdogs, shoot baskets with kids, and visit with families. Cold drinks and hotdogs will also be available while supplies last.

“This event is all about neighbors coming together and creating positive experiences in Gasconade Park,” said Police Chief Jerry Harrison. “We want families to see our officers not only as public safety partners, but also as friends and neighbors who are invested in this community.”

In addition to free hotdogs, families can expect a relaxed, come-and-go atmosphere. Officers may join in on basketball games, spend time with local skaters, and Truman the Trout could make an appearance, depending on scheduling.

Hotdogs, Hoops & Cops is one more step in reclaiming Gasconade Park as a safe and welcoming space for families. The event is open to the public at no cost. Families are encouraged to bring their children, enjoy a free meal, and spend some time connecting with local officers.
