Recycling & Energy Conservation

The City of Lebanon offers Yard Debris Recycling programs free to residents of Laclede County. Additionally, we provide Energy Conservation Rebate Programs exclusively for Lebanon residents. Customers are responsible for bringing items to recycle to Public Works. Offloading assistance will be provided if needed.

Yard Debris Recycling

Location and Hours of Operation

Yard debris drop-off is located at the Public Works Facility, 1401 West Commercial Street.

  • Weekly Hours: 8 AM to 4 PM, Monday through Friday.

Update for Area Residents

Our Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) program has been discontinued due to grant reductions. Thank you for your support over the years.

If you need to dispose of hazardous materials, contact the Lake Area Solid Waste Management District at (573) 723-0079 to find the nearest HHW collection center.

Accepted Recycling Materials

Recycling materials are accepted in Lebanon by Laclede Industries, located at 941 Utah Street. Materials are accepted from 8 AM to 4 PM Monday through Thursday and 8 AM to noon the third Saturday of each month. Materials accepted include: 

  • Cardboard, Aluminum, Tin Cans, Plastic #1 & #2

Laclede Industries is closed most mayor holidays. Materials must be clean and sorted prior to arrival. They do not accept hazardous chemical containers, glass or aerosol containers.

Automotive Products

  • O'Reilly Auto Parts (701 S. Jefferson) – Batteries and used oil
  • Sawyer Tires (1410 S. Jefferson) – Tire disposal
  • AutoZone (815 S. Jefferson) – Used oil, filters, batteries, and tires

Electronics Recycling

  • Hillcrest Education Center (301 Hoover) – Computers, TVs, and electronic devices
  • Lowe's (190 Hwy. 32) – Light bulb disposal

Heavy Metal Collection

Heavy metals collection is available for free to residents of Laclede County. Accepted items include appliances, lawnmowers, tire rims, motors, swing set and trampoline frames, and other metal items.

Brush & Yard Debris Drop-off and Recycling

Yard debris collection is free to residents of Laclede County. A valid ID or utility bill may be required as proof of residency. Please drop off materials at the designated areas and remove any bags. Accepted materials include:

  • Leaves, tree limbs, grass clippings, shrub trimmings
  • No treated lumber or stumps

Laclede County residents only: Pickup trucks and small trailers from residential properties can use this service free of charge.

Compost & Mulch: We are currently out of compost and mulch.

This service is no longer available to “for hire” businesses.
