Key Highlights from the Nov. 13th regular ๐—Ÿ๐—ฒ๐—ฏ๐—ฎ๐—ป๐—ผ๐—ป ๐—–๐—ถ๐˜๐˜† ๐—–๐—ผ๐˜‚๐—ป๐—ฐ๐—ถ๐—น ๐— ๐—ฒ๐—ฒ๐˜๐—ถ๐—ป๐—ด:

1๏ธโƒฃ ๐—–๐—ผ๐˜‚๐—ป๐—ฐ๐—ถ๐—น ๐—”๐—ฝ๐—ฝ๐—ฟ๐—ผ๐˜ƒ๐—ฒ๐—ฑ ๐—•๐—ถ๐—น๐—น ๐—ก๐—ผ. ๐Ÿฒ๐Ÿฑ๐Ÿต๐Ÿฒ, paving the way for a Consultant Agreement with Sarah Stewart, the new Executive Director for Downtown Lebanon.

โ— ๐—œ๐—บ๐—ฝ๐—ฎ๐—ฐ๐˜: ๐ŸŒ† This move, funded partially by the economic development and Downtown Business District funds, will continue to ensure solid leadership for downtown growth. Lebanonโ€™s downtown has seen amazing growth and improvements, and this action will help ensure that it continues.

2๏ธโƒฃ ๐—–๐—ผ๐˜‚๐—ป๐—ฐ๐—ถ๐—น ๐—•๐—ถ๐—น๐—น ๐—ก๐—ผ. ๐Ÿฒ๐Ÿฑ๐Ÿต๐Ÿญ received approval, empowering the Parks Department to acquire a shelter for the ongoing Wallace Park renovation.

โ— ๐—œ๐—บ๐—ฝ๐—ฎ๐—ฐ๐˜: ๐Ÿž๏ธ Thanks to citizens' support through the parks and stormwater sales tax, Wallace Park is set for a modern facelift, featuring a new playground and pickleball courts. This action will contribute to the revitalization of one of Lebanonโ€™s more historic neighborhoods.

3๏ธโƒฃ ๐—–๐—ผ๐˜‚๐—ป๐—ฐ๐—ถ๐—น ๐—•๐—ถ๐—น๐—น ๐—ก๐—ผ. ๐Ÿฒ๐Ÿฑ๐Ÿต๐Ÿฎ was greenlit, establishing an Agreement between the City and MoDOT for Sidewalk and Curb Ramp Improvements at Jefferson Avenue and Seventh Street.

โ— ๐—œ๐—บ๐—ฝ๐—ฎ๐—ฐ๐˜: ๐Ÿšถโ€โ™‚๏ธ This action will help enhance safety and walkability in Lebanon; MoDOT will utilize City right-of-way for crucial pedestrian sidewalk improvements.

4๏ธโƒฃ Council granted approval for ๐—•๐—ถ๐—น๐—น ๐—ก๐—ผ. ๐Ÿฒ๐Ÿฑ๐Ÿต๐Ÿฑ, accepting a grant to fund Beck and Ivey lanes sidewalk improvements as outlined in the 2020 Sidewalk Master Plan.

โ— ๐—œ๐—บ๐—ฝ๐—ฎ๐—ฐ๐˜: ๐Ÿšง A significant stride toward realizing long-awaited sidewalk improvements on the west side of Lebanon. This action will propel Lebanon towards becoming a safer and more accessible city. After a long wait, and with some right of way to acquire, funding is in place, and construction will begin in the not-so-distant future.

๐—œ๐—ป ๐—”๐—ฑ๐—ฑ๐—ถ๐˜๐—ถ๐—ผ๐—ป๐—ฎ๐—น ๐—ก๐—ฒ๐˜„๐˜€:

โžก Council approved parade permits for the ๐‘ณ๐™š๐’ƒ๐™–๐’๐™ค๐’ ๐‘ช๐™๐’“๐™ž๐’”๐™ฉ๐’Ž๐™–๐’” ๐‘ท๐™–๐’“๐™–๐’…๐™š  on Saturday and the Second Annual  ๐™‡๐’Š๐™œ๐’‰๐™ฉ๐’†๐™™ ๐™๐‘ป๐™‘ ๐˜พ๐’‰๐™ง๐’Š๐™จ๐’•๐™ข๐’‚๐™จ ๐™‹๐’‚๐™ง๐’‚๐™™๐’† on December 8th during Christmas on Commercial.
