The City of Lebanon would like to inform our residents that, due to grant reductions, effective December 31st, the Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) program will be discontinued at our public works facility. We understand that this program has been valuable to our community, and we want to express our gratitude for your participation over the years.
While the HHW program is ending, residents do have alternative options available to ensure the responsible disposal of hazardous materials. Residents can contact the Lake Area Solid Waste Management District at (573) 723-0079 to locate an HHW collection center near them, ensuring that these materials are handled safely and in an environmentally friendly manner.
The city remains committed to providing sustainable waste management solutions. We will continue to accept yard waste, including grass clippings, leaves, limbs, and brush at the Lebanon Public Works facility located on West Commercial. Additionally, our community can still drop off plastics #1 & #2, cardboard, aluminum cans, metal cans, scrap metal, and metal.
