Mayor Lyle Anderson Gold Leaf Award for volunteerism open for nominations
The City of Lebanon will be celebrating volunteerism this spring with the presentation of the Mayor Lyle Anderson Gold Leaf Award for Volunteer Service. The award is scheduled to be presented during a volunteer appreciation banquet in early May.
Two recipients - a youth and an adult- will receive this honor.
In 2019, Mayor Jared Carr named Gracie Carroll as the youth honoree and Carol Miller as the adult recipient.
To qualify for consideration, recipients must be a resident of Lebanon or the volunteer service must be performed in Lebanon. The youth award is open to youth between the ages of 12 and 18 and the adult award is open to those 18 and older.
Following the presentation of the awards, the 2020 winners will have their name added to a plaque hanging in Lebanon City Hall. Organizers plan to add two new names to the plaque each year going forward. The city’s website also hosts a page for the award that features each year’s recipients.
Nomination forms can be found by clicking on "Gold Leaf Award" at the city website www.lebanonmissouri.org. Paper copies of the nomination forms are also available at Lebanon City Hall. Nomination forms can be dropped off at Lebanon City Hall, emailed to firstname.lastname@example.org or mailed to Lebanon City Hall, C/O Derek Gean, P.O. Box 111, Lebanon, MO 65536.
