Codes Administration scheduled to provide informational meetings for contractors/renters
The City of Lebanon is scheduled to host a series of informational meetings designed to answer questions about building codes and the inspection process in the city.
According to Joe Berkich, Code Administrator/Building official, the city will offer meetings for area contractors and a separate meeting for those wanting more information about the residential occupancy inspection process.
Contractor meetings will be held beginning March 10 through mid-April with each meeting day targeting different types of contractors. Each meeting day will provide two sessions and participants can choose which session to attend. Sessions will be from 3 to 4:30 p.m. and 6 to 7:30 p.m. in Council Chambers at Lebanon City Hall.
"We are going to talk about building codes, provide information handouts and answer any questions anyone might have," Berkich said. "We will provide a day and evening session on each meeting day with hopes accommodating everyone’s schedule."
The following dates are scheduled contractors: concrete, March 10; framing, March 17; HVAC, March 19; electrical, March 24; plumbing, March 31 and general contractor/public, April 14.
Residential occupancy meetings
Two residential occupancy informational meetings are scheduled for April 16. The session is designed to provide community members with information about the inspection process and answer any questions. Although the meeting is open to the general public, the information will be targeted toward landlords, property managers, realtors and anyone that is renting or planning on renting property.
April 16 sessions are scheduled from 3 to 4:30 p.m. and 6 to 7:30 p.m. in Council Chambers and participants can choose the meeting time that works best with their schedule.
