Lebanon@Work for the week of Feb. 17-21
The following work projects are scheduled by the City of Lebanon Public Works Department for the week of Feb. 17-21:
Street maintenance crews will be making asphalt repairs and completing street inspections in various locations in the City. Street sweeping will be performed in Ward 2. Work in these areas will have only minor impacts on the flow of traffic.
The intersection of Hogan and Rader streets will be closed for repairs, traffic control will be in place in this area.
Street construction crews will be excavating for the new street that will be part of the Van Buren project near Commercial Street.
The construction crew will be connecting a new meter base, including current transformers making connections at the meter cabinet and at the 3-phase transformer bank on Madison Street.
The construction crew is also scheduled to replace underground streetlight wire along Osage and Adams streets.
The substation crew will install wildlife guards in Substation No. 5 on Lawson Avenue.
The maintenance crew will be working on streetlights and repairing equipment on lines along South Jefferson Avenue.
The tree crew will be trimming and removing trees in the areas of Center Street and South Jefferson Avenue.
Weather permitting, environmental crews will be finishing up on a water line installation on Cowan Drive and Highway 32 and finishing a sewer installation along Elm Street.
City Hall and the Lebanon Public Works facility will be closed today in observance of Presidents’ Day. Offices will resume normal business hours at 8 a.m. Tuesday.
