The following work projects are scheduled by the City of Lebanon Public Works Department for the week of April 1-5:
Street sweeping is planned for Ward 2 streets.
Asphalt maintenance work is planned in various locations in the City.
Street construction crews will be installing new sidewalk curb ramps on Springfield Road between Pierce Street and Owens Drive. The crews will also excavate for a building foundation to be installed at Boswell Park.
Work in these areas will have only minor impacts on the flow of traffic.
Monday through Wednesday, the construction crew will be installing a new pole in order to connect an underground electrical service. This is to improve service to an existing customer. The construction site is along the 2000 block of East Elm Street.
On Thursday and Friday, the construction crew will be retiring a temporary service in 1500 block of Lynn Street. Temporary services are constructed to provide builders, electricians and plumbers power until the main service is installed underground.
The maintenance crew will continue to install photocells on street lights. This week they will be working on the 100 block of N. Madison Street.
The substation crew will be inspecting the substations for April. They will inspect the grounds and the fencing around the substations to make sure it secure. They will inspect the transformers, the substation controls and all the insulators. This inspection will help maintain the public safety and reliability of each substation.
The tree crew will be working in the area of Woodhill Drive and North Washington Avenue.
The environmental crews will be completing dirt work on lawns damaged from winter weather and fielding customer concerns as they arise.
Crew members will be conducting sewer-line inspections and cleaning various locations. Contractor Ace Pipe Cleaning will have crews continuing to rehab sewer lines of the north side of the City between North 5 and Brice.
