As fall approaches we feel lucky to live in an area with such natural beauty. The Ozarks have some spectacular views when the leaves start to change. A great way to experience them is by taking a drive on Route 66. We recommend a trip to the Route 66 Museum to give you an extra bit of nostalgia as you enjoy the Mother Road.
If you've never been to the museum it does an excellent job of preserving the Mother Road's legacy. The Route 66 Museum and Research Center is located inside the Lebanon-Laclede County Library. It has a one-of-a-kind artifacts

and full-size dioramas using original
materials to re-create a 1950s gas station with classic autos, a
roadside diner and motel room. Additional exhibits include travel
brochures, menus, rare photographs and the nation’s largest collection
of Rand McNally maps.
There is a lot of history surrounding Route 66, and a lot of it is tied
to Lebanon. We invite you to take advantage of the wonderful resource
that is our local Route 66 Museum, and a nice scenic drive would be a
great way to cap off the day. |
