The City of Lebanon has the following projects scheduled for the week of October 9th.
Construction crews are installing street curbing at Phase 3 of the Castle Rock subdivision.
Street maintenance crews are scheduled to perform surface treatments to asphalt streets in four locations. These locations are; on Lake Drive from Elm to Glenridge, on Glenridge Street from Elm to Lake, on Orchard Drive from Phillips to Beck, and on Tyler Drive from Phillips to Beck.
Another maintenance crew will install asphalt overlays in four locations. These locations are; on Lake Drive from Glenridge to Beck, on Fowler Drive from Elm to Rader, on Van Buren Street from Commercial to Fourth, and on Fourth Street from Jefferson to Washington. Traffic control will be in place and motorists are asked to use extra caution with approaching the work areas mentioned.
The water department is changing out water meters, the areas being affected are Commercial, Adams, Monroe and Jefferson Avenue.
An electric crew is performing street light maintenance throughout various areas of Lebanon.
Another electric crew is replacing meters in the vicinity of Clark, Harwood and Michigan Street.
Construction efforts continue for the new sidewalk project along Jefferson Avenue between Hayes and Elm Street. Northbound traffic may be reduced to one lane of traffic, and motorists are asked to use additional caution when approaching this project site.
The inflow and infiltration crew continues to video and clean Lebanon’s sewer lines, as well as move and monitor flow meters in various location throughout Lebanon
The Fall Community Clean-up Event is scheduled for November 4th from 9am until noon at Lebanon Public Works. At this event, residents may bring the following items for recycling or disposal;
Yard Debris consisting of lawn and garden vegetation such as; leaves, tree limbs, grass clippings, and shrub trimmings. Sorry pre-treated lumber will NOT accepted.
Household Hazardous Waste such as; paint and stain supplies, light bulbs, batteries, automotive and cleaning products, pesticides and herbicides.
Non-Household Hazardous Waste (with the exception of Styrofoam #6) will collect items like; plastics, cardboard, box board, paper, newspaper, magazines and books, as well as tin and aluminum cans. All containers, being dropped at the NON-HHW waste stream, must be cleaned of any residual product. This ensures the safety of those processing the material.
Metals like; household appliances, lawn mowers, motors and tire rims, bicycles and exercise equipment and other items made of 100% metal swingsets and trampoline frames. Sorry tires are NOT being accepted at this event.
Small Electronics corded or battery operated, such as; computer equipment, audio and video equipment, telephones, cell phones, switches and routers, power tools, miscellaneous cables and wires. There may be a fee for disposal of televisions and computer monitors. If vouchers for FREE disposals are available, the vouchers will be distributed at the time of the event on a first come first serve basis. Limit one voucher per car per visit.
