Trip Around the Ozarks for August 29, 2012

A recap of the City's weekly radio show highlighting upcoming area events:
  • Fri. 8/31 - Sun. 9/2 - The Missouri Horseshoe Championships are back at the Civic Center. Spectators are welcome with free admission. Call 573-372-3650 for info.
  • Sat.  9/1 - Midway Speedway Racing: Gates open @ 5pm, Hot Laps @ 7pm and Racing Starts at 8pm.
  • Sat. 9/1 - Lebanon I-44 Speedway Racing: Gates open @ 5pm, Racing @ 7:30pm. This week is the Kickin’ Asphalt Show, “HIGH BANKS 100” ASA Super Late Model Showdown, Modified & Sportsman Special and “Budweiser Pre-Race Party”
  • Sat. 9/1 - Trash to Treasure Swap Meet at the Fairgrounds Ag Building from 8am-3pm Rain or Shine. Free admission to the public. Call 417-588-5118 for details.
  • Sat. 9/1 - Lebanon Downtown Cruise-in Car Show. On Commercial Street from 4pm-9pm. Free to the Public and just $5 to register a vehicle. Don't forget the live DJ and prizes. Call Darrel @ 417-830-2479 for info.
  • Sat. 9/8 - The XVIII Case Knives Celebration at Shepherd Hills Factory Outlet.
  • Thurs. 9/13 - Sat. 9/15 - Starvy Creek Bluegrass Festival in Conway. This is the 21st Annual Fall Fesival.
  • Sat. 9/15 - Lebanon Area Chamber of Commerce Business Expo from 9am-2pm @ the Civic Center. Call 417-588-3256 for info.
  • Tues. 9/18 - Ladies Night Out at the Mills Center from 4pm to 8pm. Sponsored by Bays Chiropractic. Free Admission and door prizes. There will be hair salons, travel, home décor, fitness, jewelry and purses to name a few vendors you can find here. Call 417-532-6251 for more information.
  • Sat. 9/22 - Kayak MeetUp! @ Ha Ha Tonka State Park from 9am-12pm. Open to all levels of kayakers. Everything is free, all you need is a life jacket and clothes that can get wet. Call Barbara Fredholm @ 573-346-2599 for info.
  • Sun. 9/23 - New Odyssey will perform to kick off the Concert Association Series in the Cowan Civic Center Theater. This performance is at 3pm and tickets are $20.00 or $25.00. For more info call 417-532-2990 or visit
