Trip Around the Ozarks for August 22, 2012

A recap of the City's weekly radio show highlighting upcoming area events:
  • Midway Speedway is racing Saturday nights, Gates open at 5:00pm, Hot Laps @ 7:00pm and Racing Starts at 8:00pm. Visit for more information.

  • Lebanon I-44 Speedway races on Saturday nights. Racing starts at 730 pm, gates open at 5pm. For information visit or like them on Facebook for updates. This Saturday is the Back to School Bash; the first 250 kids through the gates this Saturday get a free pass to Big Surf Waterpark.

  • August 23rd we have the Riders in the Sky performing at the Cowan Civic Center Theater at 7:30 pm. Contact the Lions Club for ticket information at 417-718-1759.

  • August 25th is the Elks Lodge Benefit Truck & Tractor Pull at 6 pm at the Cowan Civic Center. Adults are $10 and kids 12 and under are $5. Call 417-588-5547 for details.

  • Saturday, August 25th, A Mud & Music Festival at Fort Niangua River Resort. Mud trucks, bikini contest, Mud Rally, live music and Wing Cook Off. Visit or call 417-532-4377 for info.

  • August 31 to September 2nd we welcome back the Missouri Horseshoe Championships at the Exhibition Hall. For information call 573-372-3650.

  • Saturday, September 1 is the Trash to Treasure Swap Meet at the Laclede County Fairgrounds Ag Building from 8am-3pm Rain or Shine. Free admission to the public. Call 417-588-5118 for details.

  • September 8th is the XVIII Case Knives Celebration at Shepherd Hills Factory Outlet. Visit for details.

  • September 13-15 is the Starvy Creek Bluegrass Festival in Conway. Visit for info.

  • Tuesday, September 18th is Ladies Night Out at the Mills Center from 4pm to 8pm. Sponsored by Bays Chiropractic. Free Admission and door prizes. There will be hair salons, travel, home décor, fitness, jewelry and purses to name a few vendors you can find here. Call 417-532-6251 for more information.
