Trip Around the Ozarks for September 2, 2015

Hello Listeners;

Starting off September we welcome the Missouri Horseshoe Pitchers Association back to the Cowan Civic Center for their three day State Championship. The tournament will begin on Friday September 4th through Sunday. This will be the 5th year in a row that they have held their tournament here in Lebanon. Info: mohpa.us

Saturday September 12 is the 21st Annual Case Knives Celebration. The day is built around everything "Case”. There will be the release of the 2015 Case XX Celebration Event Knife, Special deals on Case closeout knives, Cutting Competitions, Hourly Drawings and more. Info: casexx.com

Also on Saturday the 12th MOCA will be having their 3rd Annual Health Fair at the Community Center in Richland from 10AM to 2PM. The MOCA Health and Wellness Department does its best to promote a healthier Missouri, and that's what this event is all about. The event is free to get in to. There will be a bunch of vendors who's main goal is to educate the public about how to promote a safer and healthier Missouri. There will be food, drink, and live music. There will be tons of activities for the whole family, children and adults alike, so feel free to bring the whole family. Information: mocaonline.org

On Sunday September 13th the Elk's Lodge #2557 will be having their 4th Annual Truck and Tractor Pull. The event will begin at 2PM in the Laclede County Fairgrounds next to the Civic Center and is a sanctioned pull by Mid-Missouri Truck and Tractor Pullers Association. There will be face painting, balloons, cotton candy, snow cones and food vendors so bring the kids. Info: Contact Elk members or 417-533-5444

September 17 through the 19th
is the 24th Annual Starvy Creek Bluegrass Fall Festival. This 3 day festival of music will be in Conway on Bluegrass Road and will have acts like Joe Mullins & the Ramblers, Dale Ann Bradley, Bluegrass Martins and many more.

On September 19 join the Chamber of Commerce at the Civic Center for their 5th Annual Business Expo and Fun Day. this year's theme is 'Look What's Under the Big Top' and it is set to be the biggest expo to date. From 9-2 browse through vendor booths from all over the Lebanon area. New this year will be a job fair that will be conducted during the event. Contact the Chamber for more information.
