Lebanon’s Public Works Department will conduct the following activities, weather permitting, during the week of July 19th through July 23rd. Last week City utilities completed major infrastructure assessments and this week, will resume normal operations. Crews have already begun to address storm damaged areas of the City with either maintenance or permanent construction.
Street maintenance crews will be working in various locations throughout the city. Street construction crews will resume excavation of the new street at the Marketplace development. Construction crews will also be working on Tower Road near Falcon Road repairing damages caused by heavy rains. There will be periodic road closures and detours at various times during construction. Street crews will also be installing sidewalk curb ramps on Commercial Street at the intersection with Washington Avenue.
Water utility crews are installing water and sewer lines in the Mighty Oaks development. The water crew will begin smoke testing this week. Testing will take place in the Smith Acres area south of Atchley Park and west of North Highway 5. Areas included in the testing zone are Indian Creek, Hunters Creek, Brook, Northbend Streets, and other adjoining streets.
Electric crews will be working at the Lebanon Market Place, and Charlton Lane. The tree trimming crew will be working near the Orchard Hill Subdivision. Service crews will be performing routine maintenance. Additionally, Citizens are encouraged to report streetlight outages in their areas, to facilitate LED upgrades and repairs.
