Trip Around the Ozarks for July 15, 2015

Hello Everyone, It's the time of the year where the calendar is getting jam packed...

On Thursday at the Civic Center will be the Justin Britt Benefit Dinner and Live Auction. A social hour will start at 5:30 and dinner will be at 6:30. Their mission is to raise funds to invest in the future of the Lebanon youth football program. Proceeds from this event will help provide brand new helmets to ensure the safety needs of the kids. July 17th on Commercial Street will be the Drug Free and Happy to Be Street Fair. It will take place between the Lebanon Daily Record and the Post Office from 6:30PM to 8:30PM. There will be games with some really great prizes and free photo booth. The Lebanon Police Department will be on hand with Kane the police dog and kids will be able to play on an Airblast Inflatable. Also on Friday, July 17 there will be a free concert presented by Truelove Ministries and the Boswell Family featuring Wilburn and Wilburn. Also featured is the Truelove Quartet. The concert will be inside the Cowan Civic Center Theater.

On July 18th and 19th in the Civic Center Exhibition Hall will be the 6th annual Fiber U event. This two day will have instructional classes and vendors and is open to the public. If you are looking for gift ideas this is the perfect place to get some natural fiber items for that special someone. Info: Fiber-U.com

Ozark Visions and Ozark Nightmares are sponsoring the 6th annual “Zombie Walk” for COPE House of Lebanon on July 18, 2015. The walk will be downtown Lebanon at 5:00 PM. The PROM will start immediately after, at The Wallace Building (325 Harwood Ave.) until Midnight. Snack, punch, music, prizes, and fun will be available at the prom for the entire community to enjoy! If you don’t wish to dress up, that’s OK! Come and enjoy the dance in your street clothes. Info: 417-532-1002

On Sunday, July 19th the Lebanon Airport will be having an open house and invite the public to eat lunch and support their Local Civic Air Patrol. There will be antique cars, antiques aircraft, some homemade airplanes and a B25 Mitchell Bomber to explore. On hand will be one of the ladies that helped to build these once modern marvels. The event will be from noon to 4:30PM.

On Thursday June 30th Join Relay for Life at their Quarters for a Cure Paddle Party at  the Mills Center. Doors will open at 5:30PM and the auction will start at 6:30PM. Tickets start at $5 for one bidding paddle but more can be purchased at the door. Proceeds from this event will go to benefit Relay for Life of Laclede County. Friday, July 31st and Saturday, August 1st is the 2015 Gospel Spectacular at the Civic Center. All concerts are free to the public. Contact KTTK for more information. This is a great event that leads into the Brumley Gospel Sing the following week. Info: 417-588-1435
