Lebanon’s Public Works Department has the following projects, weather permitting, scheduled for the week of June 15th through the 19th.
Street maintenance crews will be addressing cracks and potholes on streets in various locations throughout the city. Traffic control measures will be in place in these work areas. Construction crews will be installing new sidewalk curb ramps at the intersection of Fourth and Adams Streets and Fourth and Washington Streets. Construction crews will begin excavation for a new street in the Lebanon Marketplace area, as well.
The electrical utility will have one crew working on East Fremont, and another working at the Lebanon Market Place. The tree crew will be working in the Orchard Hills Subdivision. In addition, service crews will be making repairs to streetlights around town.
Sewer construction activities may occur on South Street, June 16th and 17th between McPhail and Catherine Streets, where partial and/or full road closure may be warranted. Motorists are encouraged to take alternate routes during those days.
Workers will be in and around the back yards of homes south of Wal-Mart to Mt Rose cleaning and inspecting sewer lines. It is possible, toward the end of the week, crews will clean sewer lines along South Jefferson, during times of low traffic volume.
Smoke testing will also begin next week. The city will conduct smoke testing operations in areas west of North Highway 5 and north of Highway 64.
