Race fans, This Saturday at I-44 Speedway is Military Appreciation Night. In addition to the adrenaline pumping races there will be a concert with Kricket Alley performing. Everything will get going at 4pm when the gate open and racing will start at 6pm. Info:

On Thursday the 21st the Kiwanis Club will be hosting a drive in movie at the Cowan Civic Center. The "doors" open at 5pm and the movie will start when it gets dark enough. The price is $3 per person or $7 per car load. The movie will be Big Hero 6. All proceeds from this event will go toward helping eliminate maternal and neonatal tetanus.
On
Saturday the 23rd at the fairgrounds celebrate the 5th Annual Wagons for Warriors. Travel back in time and enjoy an authentic and savory, home-cooked meal prepared over an open fire, by authentic Chuckwagons and their crew from Missouri, Indiana, Oklahoma and Texas. There are 18 wagons scheduled to be there with live music and an auction. Proceeds from the Wagons for Warriors event will stay local and benefit area Wounded Warriors and their family members under the Mid Missouri Chapter Association of the United States Army (AUSA) Wounded Warrior Fund. The Gala of the Royal Horses gives audiences the chance to experience the excitement, splendor, and majesty of the most beautiful horses in the world like never before. This spectacular show combines stunning horses from around the world with live performers creating a breathtaking event for the entire family.
