Trip Around the Ozarks for April 8, 2015

Hello Everyone!

Starting Thursday the 9th for three nights at the Civic Center the Lebanon Area Homeschoolers Drama Troupe presents “The Secret Case of Sherlock Holmes" Join Upstart detectives Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson on their first case. H.G. Wells, has hired them to find a manuscript by Arthur Conan Doyle and from there high jinks ensues. With many levels of depth and humor, this clever murder mystery is a performance not to be missed.

Friday starts the two day antiques tractor pull competition. Friday the 10th is qualification and Saturday the 11th is the Championship. This event will take place in the Civic Center Exhibition Hall. Both days start at 8AM and go all day.

And for the runners and Fun Walkers out there, Saturday April 11th join Hairy's Salon for their 7th Annual 5K Run for clean water. Registration starts at 7:30AM and the race starts at 8AM. This event will be happening at the Atchley Park Shelter #2. Preregistration forms are available on Hairy's website.

On Saturday April 11th starting at 7PM at McNail Arena Championship Youth Bull Riding (CYBR) presents The Ridin' for Eight Tour. There will be divisions from 6 & under Mutton Busting up to 19 & under Sr. Bull Riding. Admission: Adults are $8, Children 6-12 are $5, and kids 5 and under are free.

On Monday the 13th the Civic Center welcomes back the Shrine Circus. There is a show at 4:30 and at 7:30 each with a pre-party that starts 1 hour prior to the show. Come on out to see elephants, tigers, motorcycles madness, aerialists and performers from around the world.

And for the Music Lovers; Link Union will be returning to the Civic Center on April 16th for a concert in the Theatre, brought to you by the Lebanon Concert Association. Come join this family of musicians as the take you on a journey through the decades, over the mountains, and across the sea, with classic rock, country, pop, patriotic, spiritual, Celtic, and mountain music. Concert starts at 7PM and tickets can be purchased at the door.

On Friday the 17th (barring bad weather) Lebanon Midway Speedway is open! Head on out to the track to see racers go head to head and start the season for dirt track racing.

FYI: The next regularly scheduled City Council meeting will be Monday, April 13th in the Council Chambers at City Hall.
