Good Morning KJEL listeners, Bruce Conklin here to take on your weekly Trip Around the Ozarks.
On
November 27th at the Mills Center the Salvation Army and the Community of Christ Church are joining together to provide a Thanksgiving dinner from 11-1. They ask that you call by November 20th to reserve your seat. The number is 532-5135. They are also looking for volunteers to help serve and clean up afterwards.
On
Tuesday December 2nd Mayor Anderson would like to invite everyone to the 2nd Annual Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony at the Cowan Civic Center. The event will begin at 6:30pm with the tree lighting ceremony followed by festivities inside the Cowan Civic Center. There will be Santa Greetings, 5th Grade Carolers, a scene from the Nutcracker, and a concert by Link Union (7:30). There is no charge for the activities & the American Red Cross will be providing hot beverages.
Then on
Friday December 5th from 5-7 is Christmas in the Park. There will be hay rides, face painting, storytelling, and tons of Christmas lights. All taking place in Atchley Park and is free to everyone.
Saturday December 6th is the Miss Merrie Christmas Pageant in the Civic Center Theater. There will be a 3pm show and a 7pm show. General admission on the night of the event will be $6 per person. Registration for entry is open until November 20th. Girls K-Second Grade and High School Girls Freshman – Seniors can still enter, and the High School Girls will be competing for a $500 Scholarship.

Also, on
Saturday December 6th in Will be Conway’s Christmas Parade. The Parade will start at 1PM and will start on Spruce, go to main and conclude on Myrtle.
On
December 9th at 7PM the Lebanon Concert Association will be hosting Two on Tap – Happy Holidays. This one-of-a-kind variety show is jam-packed with holiday fun! Music fans of all ages will love the lush renditions of favorite Christmas standards, plus a few comedic surprises as well! This is a reserved seating event so contact Vivian Calton today to get yours, 532-2990.
The night of
December 11th at First United Methodist Church there will be a community choir and band concert that is free and open to the public. Christmas music will be played and if you are looking to join in the choir is looking for some more individuals. There are two practices left, come to the church on Monday night for rehearsal starting at 6PM.
And finally;
On
Saturday December 13th starting at one will be Stoutland’s Christmas Parade. The Parade route will start at the school and proceed down main street.

Monday, Dec. 8th in the Council Chambers at City Hall.
