Boswell Park

Boswell Park is located at 1205 Kent Drive, just off Historic Route 66.


The Park Features:


  • Three lighted shelters each with 20 amps of electrical power each
  • Baseball/Softball field with spectator seating, concession stand, and restrooms
  • Outdoor pool with 2 water slides, 2 diving boards, and a zero depth entry children’s pool
  • Nine hole disc golf course
  • Fenced playground
  • Two lighted tennis courts
  • Basketball court
  • Children’s play fountain
  • Two horseshoe pits

History of the Park

 

Originally known as Maplecrest Park, the park now bears the name of its largest benefactor. The Boswell Family donated $100,000 in the late 1970’s to provide matching funds to build the outdoor pool. It was then named after James E. Boswell Jr. (1937-1955)
