The City of Lebanon has the following projects scheduled for the week of October 23rd.
Construction crews are installing new curb on Catherine Street.
Street maintenance crews will seal cracks on asphalt road surfaces and perform street sweeping in various locations in the City.
The water department is changing out water meters. Areas being affected are Commercial, Adams, Monroe and Jefferson Avenue.
An electric crew continues to perform street light maintenance throughout various areas of Lebanon.
Another electric crew is replacing meters in the vicinity of Clark, Harwood and Michigan Street.
New sidewalk construction efforts continue along two areas of Jefferson Avenue this week, between Hayes and Elm Street and between the railroad crossing and Second Street. Traffic may be reduced to one lane at times, and motorists are asked to use additional caution when approaching this project site.
The inflow and infiltration crew continues to video and clean Lebanon’s sewer lines, as well as move and monitor flow meters throughout the City this week.
The 1st annual Fall Community Clean-up and Recycling Event is scheduled for November 4th from 9am until noon at Lebanon Public Works. At this event, residents from Laclede, Miller and Camden counties may drop off the following items for recycling or disposal;
Household Hazardous Waste such as; paint and stain supplies, light bulbs, batteries, automotive and cleaning products, pesticides and herbicides.
Non-Household Hazardous Waste like; plastic, cardboard, paper, tin and aluminum cans. All containers, being dropped at the NON-HHW waste stream, must be cleaned of any residual product. This ensures the safety of those processing this material.
Heavy Metals like; household appliances, lawn mowers, motors and tire rims, bicycles and exercise equipment and other items made of 100% metal like swing sets and trampoline frames. Sorry tires are NOT being accepted at this event.
Small Electronics anything corded or battery operated, such as; computer, audio and video equipment, telephones, cell phones, power tools, There may be a fee for disposal of televisions and computer monitors. If vouchers for FREE disposals are available, the vouchers will be distributed at the time of the event on a first come first serve basis. Limit one voucher per car per visit.
Yard Debris consisting of lawn and garden vegetation like; leaves, tree limbs, grass clippings, and shrub trimmings. NO pre-treated lumber will be accepted.
