Trip Around the Ozarks for November 23, 2016

Hello Friends;

Tonight (11/23) Naturally Blended are back in their home town performing at Alford’s Pub. Five dollars at the door with great drink specials during the night. Show starts at 9PM. Facebook Event Page

This Saturday the 26th the Lebanon Concert Association presents New Odyssey Christmas Show: If you have not seen this show before, now is the time to do so. Three guys that play thirty instruments in a high energy show that is great fun and entertainment. Lots of Christmas favorites plus a helping of their regular show highlights. Show starts at 7PM in the Cowan Civic Center theater. Info: Calendar Info

On Friday December 2nd bring the kids to beautiful Atchley Park in Lebanon, Missouri to enjoy the town’s official kick-off to the holiday season. The park will be decorated with lights and displays to see and the kids will be able to join in storytelling, get their face painted or enjoy a hayride on a horse drawn buggy. This event is free and open to all those that would like to come. Everything there starts at 5:30PM. Info: Calendar Info 

On Saturday December 3rd is the Conway Christmas Parade and Chili Dinner. The theme of this year’s parade will be, ‘Christmas, Through the Eyes of a Child’.  The Chili Dinner will be at the Community Building at 10:00am, with the parade starting in downtown Conway at 1:00pm. This entire day is made possible by the Conway Lion’s Club. Contact Dalton Owens 417-589-2563 for more information.

Also on December 3th is the Miss Merrie Christmas Pageant in the Civic Center Theater. General admission on the night of the event will be $6 per person. Info: Wendy Reece 417-532-3293

On December 8th starting at 7PM stop by the Civic Center to see the extraordinarily talented 399th Army Band as they present "Holiday Memories". They need your help to bring back the magic at the North Pole. The Holiday Memory Bank is running low this year and it's going to take some serious holiday cheer to refill it in time for the holiday season! This is one production that you will not want to miss! Just a reminder: City administrative offices are closed on Thursday and Friday this week for the Thanksgiving Holiday. This does not include emergency services.

Trip Around the Ozarks for October 19, 2016

On Friday night 10/21 Framing the Red will be back in town performing live at Alford’s Pub. They will start performing at 9PM. Info: 417-532-7111

Friday 10AM & 2PM and Saturday 2PM & 7PM, the Lebanon High School Drama Department will be holding multiple performances of Arthur Miller’s The Crucible in the Cowan Civic Center theater. Adults are $5 and students are $4.  

On Saturday 10/22 from 7AM to Noon is the Route 66 Rotary Run of Lebanon charity race in Lacelde County. Medals will be given to the overall male & female and top three in each age division (10 year age groups). Registration begins at 7AM at the Mills Center. COPE House will be hosting a Poker Run on Saturday 10/22 gathering at Alford’s Pub. The cost is $20 per rider and $10 per passenger or extra hand. First bike out at 11AM and last bike in at 4pm. The proceeds will go to benefit the COPE House. Info: 417-533-7111

The Lebanon Police Department will be holding a prescription take-back on Saturday 10/22 from 10AM – 2PM in the City Hall parking lot. A complete list of what will and will not be accepted is on the city’s website. Info: 417-532-3131

And lastly on Saturday night starting at 5PM there will be a Bingo Bananza at St. Francis De Sales. This is a benefit night and proceeds will go to the Laclede Literacy Council, Bull Frogs and Little Fishes, Make-a-Wish Foundation and the Knights of Columbus. Chili Supper and Vendors start at 5PM and Bingo will begin at 6PM. The cost is $25 at the door. Info: Carol 417-532-6697

Next week is Halloween and there is definitely something for everyone to do.

On Thursday the 27th the YMCA with Evergreen Investments will be having Boo Bash at the Mall from 5:30-8:30PM. This event is free and will feature bounce houses, giveaways, and tons of candy. Info: 417-588-1177

On Saturday the 29th is the Lebanon Halloween Mega Extravaganza at the Mills Center. This is a family Halloween fun event that will have free sketches, a costume contest, lots of free candy and much more. This event is presented by Lebanon MEGA Con. Info: lebanonmegacon.com

Also on Saturday the 29th is the Harley-Ween Party at Ozarks Harley Davidson. Join them for their annual Halloween Party 6:30-9:00pm in the pavilion behind the dealership. This event is open to everyone. Costume contest, games, Annual H.O.G® Chili Cook-Off, food, and more. Info: 417-532-2900

And finally on the 29th you can head out to Alford’s Pub where they will be having a Halloween Party with a performance by 7 Dollar Stereo. The live music will begin at 9PM. Info: 417-532-7111

Trip Around the Ozarks for September 21, 2016

Tomorrow night, September 22, the Lebanon Concert Association presents the Barbary Coast Dixieland Show Band. They are a high energy 6 piece Dixie Show Band that performs a complete stage show. Not just another band they will bring you Dixieland to Broadway to Hollywood with lots of vocals and lots of laughs. Info: barbary-coast.com

Saturday, September 24th is the OTC Lebanon Fall Trail Run. Race Day Packet Pickup & Registration go from 7:15am to 8:30am, the race starts at 9am. The 5 mile trail is on rolling terrain grass & sod. Features include a small creek, mostly open field and wooded area. There will be aid stations, and complimentary pre-race refreshments & post-race lunch on site. Spectators please bring lawn chairs and/or blankets to enjoy the beautiful scenery and cheer on your favorite runners. Info: Facebook Event

On the night of Saturday, September 24th COPE will host a Trivia Night with dinner at 6pm and trivia is from 7pm-10pm at the Cowan Civic Center. All proceeds go COPE; a not-for-profit agency, that among other things, provides emergency shelter to victims of family violence. Info: Facebook Event

On September 28-29 OTC Lebanon Campus is hosting a Chili/Soup cook-off benefiting Community Cares. The event will be from 10AM-5PM both days and the cost is $1 per bowl. Invite your friends, family, and coworkers to enjoy a delicious bowl of chili for this great cause. Info: Melinda 417-532-8868

On October 1st do something active and stop by to register for the Hunger Games 450 Challenge brought to you by the City of Lebanon and L-Life Food Bank for the third year in a row. You can participate in the 1K obstacle run with 12 hunger games themed obstacles. Contact the Parks department for more information. Info: 417-991-2222.
